Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) for Business: Key Aspects
The publication Deals explains the importance and application of a qualified electronic signature (QES) for Ukrainian businesses.
The publication Deals has released an article focusing on the qualified electronic signature (QES), clarifying its significance and application for businesses in Ukraine. A QES is an advanced electronic signature created using qualified electronic signature tools and based on a qualified certificate of a public key, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Electronic Trust Services.”
To obtain a QES, one must contact qualified electronic trust service providers, whose list is available in the Trust List. Initial acquisition of the signature requires in-person presence with identification documents. However, if the certificate is valid and registration details remain unchanged, it is possible to renew the QES remotely via an electronic request.
A qualified electronic signature holds the same legal force as a handwritten signature, making it an indispensable tool for modern business. Its use can benefit Ukrainian companies and the Intecracy Group audience for several reasons:
- Optimized Document Flow: QES significantly speeds up and simplifies the signing of documents, reports, and agreements in electronic format, reducing time and resources spent on paper bureaucracy.
- Legal Validity and Security: Ensures a high level of trust and legal validity for electronic documents, protecting them from forgery and guaranteeing data integrity.
- Remote Work and Collaboration: Facilitates the effective organization of remote work and interaction with partners, clients, and government bodies, regardless of their location.
