Ukraine’s E-TTN: Current Status and Business Benefits

The electronic consignment note (e-TTN) project in Ukraine is evolving, offering businesses opportunities to automate logistics.

Deals has published an article detailing the current status of electronic consignment note (e-TTN) implementation in Ukraine. This initiative, aimed at automating logistics processes, was introduced by Law of Ukraine No. 1534-IX of 2021. Despite initial plans for mandatory adoption, the Ministry of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine has postponed it, considering feedback from businesses. Currently, the use of e-TTNs for cargo transportation within Ukraine is voluntary.

This initiative is part of a broader trend towards digitalization and automation of interactions between businesses and the state. Companies already using e-TTNs report significant savings in financial resources and time. Although a paper copy may still be required for inspections, transitioning to the electronic format optimizes internal processes and prepares for future logistical changes.

For Ukrainian businesses and the Intecracy Group audience, interested in modern IT solutions and automation, the implementation of e-TTNs offers several key advantages:

  • Accelerated Adaptation: Allows companies to proactively adapt to digital standards, an inevitable step in modern logistics.
  • Resource Optimization: Contributes to substantial savings in time and costs through automated document flow.
  • Increased Transparency: Ensures greater transparency in logistics operations and simplifies interaction with government bodies.

The transition to e-TTNs is facilitated through collaboration with electronic document management (EDM) providers, who act as intermediaries between the state system and businesses.
